FAQ

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a professional relationship designed mutually between the client and the coach that helps the client produce extraordinary results in his or her personal and professional life.

How is coaching different from therapy?

The Canadian Oxford Dictionary’s definition explains it quite succinctly this way: Therapy is “the treatment of a physical or mental disorder other than by surgery.” Life Coaching is “professional guidance on how to attain one’s social, work-related, or personal goals.”

What is the time commitment?

At Newroad we ask clients for a minimum three month commitment. That involves one half hour telephone session with their coach every week.

Can I cancel the coaching program at any time?

Yes. Although the contract with Newroad is for a minimum of three months, at any time the client can end the process if he or she doesn’t feel that it is a good fit for their needs. It is important for each Newroad client to be excited and fulfilled by the coaching. If that is not the case we will gladly assist people in finding another process and or another coach.

Do you coach couples?

Newroad specializes in one-on-one coaching. Many clients discuss their relationship concerns and dreams in the coaching sessions. Newroad will work with our clients and their spouses or partners if the need arises.

Do you coach any clients face to face?

All of Newroad’s one-on-one coaching is conducted over the telephone. We have found that this approach best serves our clients. Telephone coaching is efficient and cost effective. Many of our clients travel for business and telephone coaching allows them to work and or live anywhere in the world and still connect with their coach.

What is your success rate?

The most accurate source for the answer to this question is our clients. Newroad clients are our best apostles. Most of our business comes from referrals which speaks to our success rate. You don’t have to take our word for it though. We would be happy to offer references from our fraternity of clients.

How long is the average coaching program?

Three to Six months is typical for our short term clients. These clients usually have a specific task they want to tackle that can be conquered in a finite amount of time. Many of our clients have been with Newroad for several years. These clients are conquering long term goals. Having a coach in their back pocket proves to be an important factor in their continued success as different challenges face them.

Who is your typical client?

Our clients are entrepreneurs, executives, athletes, entertainers, individuals in family business and young adults & students. Many are high net worth individuals and some are just starting out. They range in age from twenty to eighty. What they all have in common is that they are motivated opportunists who are interested in increasing their successes and their overall quality of life. They understand that having a coach can give them a clearer perspective and a competitive edge in today’s market place.

“To be coached by you is an unforgettable experience. You bring keen intelligence, true compassion and heartfelt sensitivity to each coaching session and in that space I move into life changing action, and I am very, very grateful.”
